TSC attended the 2026 UK Light Rail Conference, which took place in Nottingham on 30th June and 1st July. This year marked the 20th anniversary of the conference, providing a unique opportunity for operators, industry suppliers, policymakers, and transport professionals from across the UK to celebrate the industry’s achievements and reflect on future opportunities and challenges.
The event featured presentations, panel discussions, and networking opportunities covering topics such as financing, infrastructure delivery, fleet replacement, technology partnerships and innovation, asset management, and collaboration between operators and industry suppliers, among many others.
The conference offered valuable insights and generated engaging discussions across the sector. It was followed by a technical visit to the Nottingham Express Transit (NET) depot, providing delegates with an opportunity to exchange knowledge and discuss operational and technical challenges in greater detail.
